How does a new hire log-in to in Workday (NYP’s onboarding and employee self-service portal)?

Workday is NYP’s new hire onboarding and employee self-service portal.  As a new hire, you will be required to complete several tasks in Workday as part of your new hire onboarding process. This portal is an easy way to track your onboarding tasks, update your personal information, and review your benefits.

The Workday link for new hires is:  https://www.myworkday.com/wday/authgwy/nyp/login.htmld?redirect=n

All offers of employment are contingent upon successfully completing the onboarding process, including the tasks in Workday.

Current employees who are changing positions within the same NYP location may have an abbreviated onboarding process.

How to Log-in to Workday:

  1. Following completion of all Workday offer tasks, including acknowledging your offer letter and pay notice in Workday, an HR Connects Coordinator will be assigned to guide you through NYP’s onboarding process.

  2. Your assigned HR Connects Coordinator will contact you via email or phone to discuss next steps, and will initiate your background check. It is important that you check your email often to receive updates from us, and to complete all steps in a timely manner.

  3. You will receive two emails from nyp@myworkday.com within two business days following that call/email from the HR Connects onboarding team, after they have initiated your background check. Follow the instructions in these emails to log into Workday

  4. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the emails within two business days of completing your offer tasks. If you are unable to locate these emails, the HR Connects team can provide you with your NYP user name, called a CWID.  You can use this CWID to reset your password by clicking “Forgot Password?” on the log-in page:  https://www.myworkday.com/wday/authgwy/nyp/login.htmld?redirect=n

How to Complete Workday Onboarding Tasks:

  1. Once you have logged into Workday, click on the Onboarding worklet, and complete all assigned onboarding tasks as soon as possible, at least one week prior to your start date.

  2. Sometimes when you sign-out and/or refresh the log-in page, you will be auto-directed to the employee log-in page (this will be your Workday log-in page after your employment begins). If this happens, return to the new hire log-in page:  https://www.myworkday.com/wday/authgwy/nyp/login.htmld?redirect=n.
