Who should a newly hired team member contact for help with virtual orientation?

In light of the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York City and Westchester County, and to prioritize the health and safety of our patients and staff, we have instituted an online orientation process to minimize large in-person gatherings at this time.

How it Works

New team members will be asked to complete online orientation at home, on their first day of NYP employment, and will be paid for their orientation time.  Some team members will have additional days of online orientation prior to their first day in the department.  Information regarding your virtual training, including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Registration systems, will be made available through the NYP Learning Center. Additional details regarding your orientation will be given to you during your first class and/or through your NYP email. It’s important to continue to check your NYP email on a regular basis moving forward.

We recommend that you use the latest version of Google Chrome to avoid technical issues. See attached for a job aid to guide you through the system requirements, including instructions on how to install the Saba Meeting Connector.
